Black & Veatch building clean coal in Malaysia

Congratulations to ACC member, Black & Veatch on the news that they will be working with China National Machinery Import & Export Corp in Malaysia to build clean coal generation equipment at the Manjung Unit 4 power project.

B&V global energy business managing director for Middle East, India and East Asia, Dr Hoe Wai Cheong, said Malaysia is going through a period of fantastic growth.

“The industry needs a large volume of power delivered on time and cost effectively,” he said.

The plant in Manjung, Perak, will deliver a thousand megawatts of base load, cleaner coal power to Malaysia’s growing industrial and commercial sectors by 2015.
