August Coal Q&A wrap up
William Yeatman, Assistant Director, Center for Energy and Environment at the Competitive Enterprise Institute enlivened the debate and expanded attendee’s understanding of the EPA’s “Mission Creep” in our August 28th Coal Q&A webcast.
Yeatman provided a wealth of information on how the EPA’s burgeoning role in environmental management, as well as its movement into roles and areas constitutionally designated to the states has impacted the coal (and energy) industry.
We encourage our readers and members to download and review Yeatman’s recently published report “The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Assault on State Sovereignty” as a means of becoming better educated about the issues that are impacting our industry today.
The American Coal Council’s Coal Q&A Program provides a forum to address critical issues affecting the U.S. coal industry ~ including coal producers, consumers and transporters. Each program begins with a topic briefing by a leading industry analyst or representative, followed by a Q&A session. Watch the ACC website — events section — for information on upcoming ACC webcasts.
