About

The Coalblog: In today’s world, information is essential. and providing accurate, balanced information and editorial is a primary driving force behind the coal industry’s communications efforts.

Working internationally to ensure the coal industry speaks with a common voice, showing its proactive measures to address environmental and efficiency challenges, as well as addresses its detractors, is becoming more important. Therefore, the American Coal Council (ACC) and the Coal Association of Canada (CAC) are working together on the Coalblog (and in other areas) to get factual and balanced information on coal out to the public.

Watch the Coalblog for essential information on the international coal industry, markets, policy and regulations. You really can’t afford to miss out.

A little history: The Coalblog was created and designed by Jason Hayes, Hayes Holdings Consulting in June of 2004, as an information outlet for the coal industry. After his move to the American Coal Council, the Coalblog took a hiatus and was then resurrected in February of 2008 on the American Coal Council’s website. Throughout its life, the Coalblog has been an important source of energy, policy, and environmental information for the coal industry.

In this latest version, the Coalblog has taken on a new look and is being hosted on its own domain www.coalblog.org, but it will continue to offer up key information and policy updates for the international coal industry.

“The Coalblog” name and www.coalblog.org are owned and © 2004-2010 Jason Hayes and are used with permission by the ACC and CAC. The Coalblog is based on the WordPress publishing platform and uses an edited version of the dfblog theme.
